Robertson grew up traveling the eastern shores of the United States. With an interest in birds and the art of John James Audubon, his attraction to coastal birds became an obsessions. His egret drawings became exact with an understanding of feathers and movement. Robertson is a self taught artist who started drawing at a young age. Painting soon followed and his talent became obvious to collectors. His painting had a subdued serene quality that allows the viewer to appreciate the reverence of the land and the wildlife that live there. Occasionally Robertson will enter competitions and had been awarded for his works.
